Litero-cultural fest at DAV Bistupur draws 600 city students

Jamshedpur: One of the most awaited school Litero-cultural fest of Jamshedpur, Ecstasy 2017 began with a bang.
The event which was organized by DAV Public School, Bistupur, reached its 5th year on 18 November 2017. To celebrate this mega event, a huge gathering of about 20 schools with more than 600 students participated in 20 different events.

The Chief Guest of the programme was S.K. Luthra, R.D., Jharkhand Zone-F and the guest of honour was Sushma Luthra. The programme was dedicated to our, ‘Soldiers-Saluting the Real Heroes’ as they are the ones on whom the safety and pride of the country depends.

The Principal, Pragya Singh, in her welcome speech paid tribute to the brave soldiers who are deputed on the frontiers and serve, may it be scorching heat or frigid cold.

They are the ones for whom the duty comes first and other things are secondary. She encouraged the students by saying that they are the best artisans of their time and capable enough to challenge the world.

They are the ones who can realise their dreams by selecting the right path and keeping at bay from what is not meant for them. This stage provides the necessary platform for them to grow and nurture their skills, so that in future they are able to deliver the best to their family and country.


S.K. Luthra blessed the students and conveyed his good wishes to all the participants. For children parents are the real heroes and they need to follow their able guidance. He asked the students to conserve and promote the Indian culture and wave its flag high. He also asked them to accept all the other good things around the world as India is renowned for its Ganga-Yamuna etiquettes. Today we are an ensemble of Vedic and modern culture.

The events were conducted throughout the day. The students’ mental abilities were judged through Quiz, Extempore, Trigger Fingers (Gaming) and Treasure Hunt. The artistic skills of the students were judged through their marvellous presentation of Skit, Photography, Tattoo Making, Model Making and Canvas painting. The stage events were applauded by one and all- Qawalli, Band, Dance.

War of DJs turned to be the highlight of the day where everyone had fun and frolic. Master and Miss Ecstasy were introduced for the first time and all appreciated it.

Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya was declared Overall Champion followed by Rajendra Vidyalaya as the Runner’s up. Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) boy was crowned Mr. Ecstasy and the girl from Rajendra Vidyalaya bagged the Miss Ecstasy title.
