Jamshedpur : A 50-year-old man was found injured on the railway track near Tatanagar station on Thursday. The victim was identified as Shyamal Maity latter succumbed to his injuries at the MGM Medical College and Hospital emergency.
The victim was a resident of Salt Lake in Kolkata. Maity who was a former high school teacher, lost both of his legs in the mishap after probably he was trying to get into the train.
Though the victim was sent to Railway Hospital, Tatanagar but at the railway hospital the doctors at the railway hospital referred the victim to MGM Medical College and Hospital. A doctor who had attended the victim at the MGM Medical College and Hospital said that he succumbed to his injuries due to excessive bleeding.
According to sources, the victim lost his sense after the mishap, but had come to his sense for a while before he succumbed to his injuries at the medical college hospital emergency.
A friend of the mishap victim’s son-in-law Amit Dhar had visited the medical college hospital emergency getting the news of train mishap. Mukherjee, who stays at Siroman Nagar in Mango said that the victim was travelling by Howrah-Ahmedabad Express to Raipur.
