No room for lapses, officials told
Jamshedpur: The district administration has intensified preparations for the proposed visit of the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, to East Singhbhum on February 26. Given the high-level protocol associated with the President’s visit, officials have been directed to ensure flawless coordination, security, and execution of all arrangements.
A comprehensive briefing for magistrates, police officers, and the police force was conducted at the JRD Sports Complex under the joint chairmanship of District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi and Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey.
Addressing the officials, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the President’s visit is of utmost importance and requires strict adherence to protocol. He instructed all personnel to discharge their duties with dedication, discipline, and coordination, leaving no scope for lapses in security, punctuality, or arrangements.
He also reviewed key aspects of the visit, including the venue, route line, airport and helipad arrangements, accommodation, meeting venues, parking facilities, and emergency preparedness. Officials were directed to conduct final inspections and ensure all arrangements are in place well in advance.
Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey highlighted that maintaining security and law and order is the top priority during the visit. He warned that any lapse in security would not be tolerated and instructed all police personnel to remain vigilant and disciplined.
The SSP directed strict implementation of route clearance, anti-sabotage checks, CCTV surveillance, traffic and route diversions, pass systems, and intelligence coordination. He also stressed adherence to dress code and protocol by all deployed personnel.
Additionally, arrangements such as a control room, quick response teams, and medical emergency units will be fully operational to handle any situation, with continuous coordination among all departments.
The administration also informed that traffic management plans and alternative routes will be shared with the public through media channels to minimize inconvenience during the President’s visit.
Senior magistrates, police officials, and representatives from various departments were present during the briefing.
Joint inspection ahead of President’s Jamshedpur visit
Jamshedpur, February 24: The district administration has intensified preparations for the proposed visit of the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, to Jamshedpur on February 26, with senior officials conducting a comprehensive inspection of key venues and routes.
Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi and Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey jointly inspected the proposed programme venues, including the Shri Jagannath Spiritual and Cultural Charitable Center in Kadma and Manipal Tata Medical College. During the visit, officials reviewed security arrangements, stage setup, guest galleries, entry and exit points, parking facilities, media management, drinking water supply, power arrangements, sanitation, fire safety, and emergency medical services.
All concerned officials were directed to ensure that preparations are completed in strict adherence to established protocols, with no scope for lapses.
The officials also inspected Sonari Airport, which will serve as the arrival point for the President, and reviewed the designated route from the airport to the event venues. Key aspects such as security deployment, traffic diversions, alternative routes, barricading, and crowd management were examined in detail.
A carcade rehearsal was conducted to assess the punctuality and security arrangements for VIP movement from the airport to the venues, in line with prescribed security standards.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that all departments are working in close coordination to ensure that the President’s visit is conducted in a safe, smooth, and dignified manner. He added that preparations are now in their final stages.
