Jamshedpur: District administration has geared up for counting of votes of the Lok Sabha by-elections tomorrow, ensuring the necessary security arrangement at the Jamshedpur Co-operative College which has been made the counting centre.
Keeping sensitivity of the strong room and counting centre in view, the administration has handed over the place to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
According to the administration, counting will be carried out in six halls, each hall having 14 tables. The halls will be in accordance with the six assembly areas. As per the arrangement, there will be about 14 rounds of counting, each in the intervals of half-an-hour time.
In each of the counting hall, government officials will be present. Beside the government staff, representatives of political parties representing the candidates will be allowed during the counting.
Counting of votes will be done under the direct observance of assistant returning officers, who will be posted in each of the 14 tables.
