Jamshedpur, May 23: The Admission Cell of Karim City College (KCC), Sakchi, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized an Orientation cum Awareness Program for FYUGP Semester-3 students. The event, held in the college auditorium, was conducted as per the guidelines of UGC and in consultation with NAAC, aiming to familiarize students with academic planning, career opportunities, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
The program was presided by Principal Dr. Mohammad Reyaz and structured into three segments: educational planning, career and grievance redressal, and the Principal’s address.
In the academic segment, Dr. Anwar Shahab (Arts Faculty In-charge), Dr. M.M. Nazri (Commerce Faculty In-charge), and Dr. Mohammad Moiz Ashraf (Science Faculty) elaborated on the Semester 3 and 4 curriculum. They highlighted the college’s initiatives such as workshops, seminars, and value-added courses, encouraging students to adopt critical thinking in their academic journey.
Addressing grievance redressal, Controller of Examinations Dr. B.N. Tripathi encouraged students to raise concerns, academic or disciplinary, so the college can address issues and improve systems. Dr. Aftab Alam, Coordinator of the Career Planning Cell, and Dr. G. Vijayalakshmi, Coordinator of the Placement Cell, provided insights into career development and placement support available to students.
In his concluding address, Principal Dr. Mohammad Reyaz congratulated the students and urged them to attend classes regularly, assuring them of continued institutional support and facilities for holistic development.
The event was conducted by Dr. S.M. Yahya Ibrahim, In-charge of the Admission Cell, who also shared important guidance and information with the students.
