Kamal Akhtar accorded warm welcome in Tatanagar

Jamshedpur, April 15: Newly appointed National Vice-President of International Human Rights Association (IHRA) Kamal Akhtar was accorded warm welcome after he reached Jamshedpur on Wednesday morning.

First he was welcomed at Tatanagar Railway Station by around 150 members of IHRA headed by National General Secretary Usha Singh. He was also felicitated at the associationís Sakchi office.

Talking to the media persons, Kamal said he actively participates is social works and now with this association the work will expand to greater heights.

He further said that with this new responsibility he work with full sincerity keeping all the facts of IHRA in mind. Replying to a query, Kamal said that with making the association strong they will also see to it that health and education services in rural areas will be our top priority.

Usha Singh said that the association will carry out a awareness program in rural areas focusing on female foeticide, save water and inform women about human rights.

On the occasion IHRA State Secretary Mukesh Rai, State Vice-President Rajshri Singh, Yuva Morcha district President Jitendar Singh Jeetu, Chandana Chatterjee, Reshmi Das, Prabha Tiwary, Sushmita, Malti, Harjeet, Alisha Tirkey and others.
