Jharkhand State Cricket Association Stadium in Ranchi is gearing up to host its second T20 international match against Australia on October 7, 2017 as part of the home season starting September 17.
This will be the second time when Jharkhand State Cricket Association Stadium in Ranchi will host a T20 international match.
Earlier, team India played a T20I against Sri Lanka on February 12, 2016 in Ranchi where the hosts beat the island nation comfortably by 69 runs
As part of the preparation meet, the committee of management met at J.S.C.A. International Stadium Complex on Tuesday, August 8 and took decision relating to the forthcoming season and the Association’s participation in BCCI tournaments.
The Committee initiated preparations for the hosting of the 1st India-Australia T20 International match on October 7, 2017 at the Ranchi including uploading of tenders on its website for various services including- Providing Food Services, Providing Tent House services, Sanitation and Upkeep services, Security arrangement, Ticketing services, accreditation, ushering etc.
Supply of surveillance with CCTV IR (Night Vision) camera, Parking Facilities of Vehicles and Providing 50 MBPS Internet Leased Line (I.L.L.).
It was decided that U-14, U-16 & U-19 teams of neighboring districts should play early season practice matches on �Home and Away� basis to help the players get into the groove prior to Inter District and Board matches and suggestions was unanimously accepted.
In order to bring uniformity in coaching and improve the standard of the umpires and Match Observers, it was decided that seminar should be organized by J.S.C.A. Further, to ensure prevention and management of injuries it was decided to organize special camps for trainers and physiotherapists.
The meeting also decided to take all the necessary steps needed to be taken to promote women�s cricket at all levels.
A five-day special camp is going to be organized at JSCA for conditioning of players. The trainer, Steffan Jones from England shall conduct the camp.
While considering show cause notices issued to seven life members for misconduct the Committee found show cause submitted by two of them satisfactory while those of five others were found grossly unsatisfactory and therefore unanimously decided to expel from the Association those five, namely Pravin Kumar Singh, Deepak Prakash, Praveen ChandraDeogharia, Saroj Singh and P. Shashidharan.
