Joint committees formed in JCAPCPL Jamshedpur for enhanced collaboration

Jamshedpur, March 20: Jamshedpur Continuous Annealing and Processing Company Private Limited (JCAPCPL), a collaborative venture between Tata Steel and Japanese steel company Nippon, recently announced the establishment of several joint committees comprising representatives from both management and the union. This development follows union elections held two months ago, signifying a concerted effort towards fostering collaboration and addressing key operational aspects within the organization.

The announcement of the joint committees was made by the company’s Managing Director, Ujjwal Chakraborty, and the Union President, R. Ravi Prasad. Managing Director Chakraborty underscored the significance of joint consultation, emphasizing its pivotal role as the backbone of any industry. Union President Prasad expressed confidence in the newly established system, affirming its potential contribution to the company’s growth and success.

The formed committees operate under the purview of the Joint Consultative Committee Management (JCCM), with specific mandates tailored to address various operational and welfare concerns. Among these committees is the Canteen Management Committee, tasked with overseeing canteen operations and ensuring optimal service delivery.

Additionally, the Sports, Recreation, and CSR Volunteerism committee aims to promote employee engagement through recreational activities while spearheading corporate social responsibility initiatives. Another vital committee, Joint Amenities, focuses on enhancing facilities and amenities for employees, fostering a conducive work environment.

Furthermore, the Quality, Cost, Productivity, and Suggestions committee aims to drive operational excellence and efficiency, soliciting feedback and suggestions from stakeholders for continuous improvement. Lastly, the Employee Training and Development committee is dedicated to nurturing talent within the organization, facilitating skill enhancement and career advancement opportunities.

Each committee comprises a blend of management and union representatives, fostering inclusivity and ensuring diverse perspectives in decision-making processes.
