Jamshedpur, March 27: In view of the upcoming festival of Ramnavami, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) here on Monday launched a drive to remove illegal banners and posters across the city. The action was taken following the orders of Sanjay Kumar, Special Officer, JNAC. He said the illegal banners and posters hanging on trees, walls, poles and in the air for publicity causes loss of revenue as well as increases chances of accidents. The drive was carried out at Sakchi Tinkonia, Handi Line, Hardware Line, Mohmandan Line, Sheetla Mandir, Tank Road, Bhuiyandih Bus Stand, Bhuiyadih timber yard, Litti Chowk, Agrico Signal, Sidgora Bazar , Baridih Chowk, Baridih Petrol Pump, Kali Mandir Templet, DVC More, Tube Division, Burmamines, R D Tata, Golmuri To Kerala Public School. Till now more than 500 banner posters have been removed.
