JMM leaders meet BDO over farmers� plight

Potka: A delegation of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha met the block development officer of Potka, Prabhas Chandra Das, on Tuesday and handed over a memorandum to him demanding measures to provide relief to the farmers of the block.

The party leaders said the farmers were facing crisis due to drought for the last two years. They demanded that the loans availed by the farmers should be waived and their crop insurance claim for the year 2015-2016 should be given to them. They also demanded seeds from the Local Area Multi Purpose Society (LAMPS).

The delegation leaders included Sudhir Soren, Sanjeev Sardar, Hiramuni Murmu, Ganesh Sardar, Bhagirathi Hansda, Shankar Munda, Bappi Namata and Vidha Das.
