Ranchi, Aug 1: Expressing anger over irregularities in distribution of mid-day meal scheme in Chattarpur block of the Palamu district,Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today ordered dismissal of the districat education superintendent of Palamu and also ordered strict action against the block education extension officer of Chattarpur.
Chairing the Siddhi Baat Programme at the Suchana Bhawan here, he asked the officials of the school education and literacy department to provide diaries to all the district officials so that they can keep a record of their daily activity.
Over a complaint from Garhwa regarding Gopinath Singh Mahila Mahavidyalay and Gopinath Singh Inter College it was pointed out that the institution keeps on receiving grants by using different names every year after which Das asked the secretaries of the school education and higher education departments to conduct a joint probe and submit the report within 15 days.
In a complaint from Ratu block of Ranchi district, the CM ordered that a high level team should be sent to probe the irregularities in construction of road from Churchu Road to Banapiri Jamun Mode. He ordered action against the engineer and said that probe should be reconsidered.
The CM warned the principal secretaries of all the department not to stick to formalities in the name of conducting probe and take complaints seriously. Over a complaint from Palamu where it was pointed that the cricket stadium constructed in the GLA College premises in 2005 was still incomplete.
The visible displeased CM ordered that strict action be taken against the engineer concerned and asked the Palamu DC to send a report within a week to the Sports and Culture Department over the issue. He also directed the DC East Singhbhum to make arrangements for drinking water and power at ITI Patmada.
