Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced the seat-sharing formula for the INDI alliance in the upcoming state assembly elections.
Addressing a press meet at CM’s residence on Saturday, Hemant Soren stated that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and CPI(ML) will field candidates on 11 seats.
This decision came after extensive discussions between the parties in the alliance.
“We understand that there is curiosity among the people about who will contest from which seat. We, as part of INDIA bloc, are going into this election with unity. JMM, Congress, RJD, and left parties will contest together on 81 seats,” said Soren during the press conference.
The Chief Minister confirmed that while JMM and Congress will contest on 70 seats, the remaining seat allocations will be decided soon.
“The INDI alliance is focusing on maintaining a strong front against NDA in Jharkhand, with the JMM-Congress-RJD combine aiming for a comprehensive victory. The exact distribution of candidates across constituencies is expected to be finalized in the coming days,” Soren added.
