Jamshedpur, Sep 26: A five-day State Award Inspection Camp for Scouts and Guides concluded on September 26, 2025, at the District Headquarters of the Indian Scouts and Guides, Aam Bagan, Sakchi, East Singhbhum. The camp, organized under the guidance of the State Organization (Jharkhand), began on September 22 and included 50 selected Scouts and Guides from leading schools such as Bistupur Carmel Junior College, DBMS Sonari, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Kadma, Sacred Heart Convent School Bistupur, DAV Bistupur, and Kendriya Vidyalaya Jamshedpur.
During the camp, participants were evaluated on skills including compass use, noting, first aid projects, work logbooks, and social service contributions. Trainers and examiners, including Neeraj Kumar Shukla, Dhiraj Ranjan, Naveen Panda, Sangeeta Mishra, Daljit Kaur, and S. Mamteshwari, guided and assessed the Scouts and Guides throughout the program.
The closing ceremony was graced by senior JMM leader Pawan Kumar, who was welcomed with flowers and a shawl by District Organization Commissioner Naresh Kumar. The event began with the chief guest lighting the grand campfire, followed by the singing of campfire songs. Pawan Kumar appreciated the children’s cultural performances, academic achievements, and expressed his best wishes for their upcoming screening and selection camps. He also assured the provision of adequate toilets and a playground at the district headquarters.
The camp concluded with vibrant cultural performances by the Scouts and Guides, including dance, songs, and music, and ended with an interfaith prayer. District Secretary Chandramani Modi delivered the vote of thanks, while the camp was conducted under the supervision of District Organization Commissioner Naresh Kumar.
