Jharkhand Football Association organises first Referee Committee meeting

Jamshedpur, Feb 11: Jharkhand Football Association (JFA) Referee Committee organised first meeting at Jamshedpur on Saturday, February11.

The agenda for the meeting included discussions on the current state of refereeing in the state, the challenges faced by referees, and ways to improve the standard of refereeing.

The meeting was chaired by SB Singh, Chairman, JFA Referee Committee.

Mukul Choudhari, Senior Vice President, JFA and Gulam Rabbani, Secretary, JFA were also present in the meeting and boosted the moral of committee members and ensured committee members of full support.

During the meeting, the members of the Referee Committee also discussed plans for conducting training programs and workshops for referees, as well as the need to increase the number of qualified referees and referee instructors in the state.

JFA will be conducting the Fitness examination in 2nd week of March. Before that, all the district football association had been requested to conduct the fitness test of the referees from their concern district, the referees who will pass the fitness test conducted by District Football Association will be only allowed to appear in the test conducted by JFA.

They also discussed the need for regular training and development programs for referees in the state.

Committee had appointed Saptam Kr Dey as Referee Fitness Instructor for the state, Sajid Ahmed had been appointed as a Deputy Chairman of Referee Committee – JFA.

The Jharkhand Football Association – Referee Committee is responsible for overseeing and regulating all aspects of refereeing in the state, including training and certification of referees, appointment of referees for matches, and addressing any issues or grievances related to refereeing. The committee plays a crucial role in ensuring fair play and maintaining the integrity of the game in Jharkhand.

The committee members expressed their commitment to promoting and improving the standard of refereeing in Jharkhand. They also thanked Mukul Choudhari and Gulam Rabbani for their support and guidance.

Overall, the 1st Referee Committee meeting was productive and encouraging for the JFA Referee Committee. They are looking forward to implementing their plans and improving the quality of refereeing in the state.

Other members present were Navin J Sundi(Head of Referee), Uday Mishra(Dhanbad), Bhaiya Murari Kumar Sinha (Hazaribag), Wesley Minj(Gumla), O.P Thakur(Ranchi), S.K Dey(JSA),  S.Sujauddin (Lohardaga) and Md Sajid Ahmed (Lohardaga).

The meeting ended with a commitment from all members to work together towards promoting and improving the standard of refereeing in Jharkhand.
