Jamshedpur: Census-2027 House Listing Covers DC’s Residence

Jamshedpur: The House Listing and House Enumeration process under Census-2027 gained momentum in East Singhbhum on Thursday as enumerators and supervisors carried out census activities at the official residence of Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Ranjan.

As part of the scheduled exercise, designated census personnel visited the Deputy Commissioner’s residence and completed the enumeration process using the Self-Enumeration ID system. The team collected and verified the required demographic and household information in accordance with prescribed census guidelines.

Ranjan said that the nationwide exercise plays a crucial role in generating accurate and reliable data for planning and governance.

Accurate Census Data Crucial for Development Planning

Appealing to residents across the district, Ranjan urged citizens to actively participate in Census-2027 and provide complete, factual, and accurate information to the enumerators.

He stated that census data serves as a vital foundation for government policies, development programmes, and welfare schemes. Accurate data enables authorities to assess population trends, infrastructure requirements, and socio-economic needs, which ultimately ensures better planning and effective implementation of development initiatives.

Officials Promote Self-Enumeration Process

Officials noted that the Self-Enumeration ID system aims to make the census process more efficient, transparent, and citizen-friendly. The initiative allows households to participate more conveniently while securing the accuracy of the collected information.

District authorities have appealed to all residents to extend full cooperation to enumerators and supervisors during the Census-2027 exercise, stressing that public participation is essential for the success of one of the country’s largest data collection programmes.
