Jharkhand CM asks panchayat representatives to ensure benefits of universal pension scheme

Ranchi, December 23. The Government of Jharkhand, playing the role of a public welfare state, is committed to ensure social security for all the people. Due to the constraint of below poverty line, lakhs of needy people of the state were deprived of the security cover. It was becoming difficult to give them benefits because of the rules.

 These was staged by Chief Minister Hemant Soren in a message through a letter written to the representatives of all Panchayats and public representatives.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren has said that with the aim of providing security cover to the needy, Sarvajan Pension Yojana has been launched and under this scheme old people above 60 years of age, destitute women of 18 years or more. In which widow single and abandoned three have been included. Along with this, assistance will be provided to all persons with disabilities who are 5 years of age or more and suffering from HIV/AIDS.

In his message letter, the Chief Minister has informed that to take advantage of this scheme, the obligation of having ration card or BPL card has been abolished, as well as provision of a circular fund of Rs 100 crore for pension payment has been ensured.

Under this scheme, the amount of pension will be transferred to the account of all the beneficiaries by the fifth of every month.

A large number of applications have been received under Sarkar Apke Dwar program which lasted for 45 days in the state. Their execution has been ensured.

The letter further informs that so far more than 5200 camps have been organized across the state, in which more than 25 lakh applications have been received so far. Work is being done with the goal of 100 percent execution of the applications received.

Through a letter, he has requested all the Panchayat representatives and public representatives to play a role in providing benefits to all the eligible beneficiaries of their village, locality and locality and make their important contribution in making this scheme a success.
