Jharkhand CM asks new constables to show zeal, dedication during duty

Announces to provide new barracks, water tanks, boundary walls

Ranchi, December 27: Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren wished the passing out constables to show zeal, dedication and hard work while discharging duties as they had shown during their training.

Addressing the passing out parade of India Reserve Battalion-10 (IRB) at JAP-8 Palamau on Tuesday , Soren said, “Every day new challenges are coming in new forms. In such a situation, use the training you have received here to deal with these challenges. You should not limit your training, expand its scope and strengthen the competencies that you have acquired throughout the training period, so that you can successfully discharge your responsibilities.”

The Chief Minister said that the increasing participation of women in the police force is an example of women empowerment. There are 182 women constables out of 554 trainee constables. Whereas, out of 764 trainees who successfully underwent training at the Constable Training Center at Musabani, 260 are women. In this way, 442 women trainee constables in both the training centers are a symbol of the fact that women are now fully ready to walk shoulder to shoulder with men.

The Chief Minister asked the passing out constables to win the trust of the common masses while discharging their duties as it will make it easier to solve problems and challenges of locals.

Principal Secretary home Rajeev Arun Ekka wished and encouraged the jawans for a bright future. He said that the jawans should stand in the front line with their responsibility to follow and comply with the law and rules. Jawans have been made efficient for all tasks by training, so that they will act fast with time and circumstances. He said that people belonging to the weak, tribal, Dalit and backward sections of the society should look towards them for cooperation and help.

Director General of Police  (DGP) Neeraj Sinha said that due to Covid-19 infection, there was a disruption in the training of jawans, but now they are joining Jharkhand Police force with full promptness.

Informing about the training center, DGP said that this campus has been created in 34.50 acres. The first session from the year 2012 and the second session in 2012-13 and the third session in 2017-18, apart from the basic training of the constables who have completed 10 years of service of JAP / IRB cadre till 2018-19. SPC training was given, who are today discharging their duties in various districts, units and camps of the state.

The Chief Minister rewarded the young players of Palamu by providing sports material as an incentive under community policing. He gave sports material like football, jersey, shoes to the teams.

The chief minister assured that the JAP Complex at Lesliganj will be renovated. The government will take a concrete decision soon to solve the information received regarding the problems here.

He also assured that three new barracks with a capacity of 250 beds will be constructed at the campus along with provision of tank for drinking water and boundary wall.

Hemant Soren also announced that government will soon take a positive decision on the subject of giving training allowance to the trainee constables.

The Chief Minister inaugurated Pandu and Nava Bazar police station buildings online.
