Jharkhand Asian Champions Trophy receives grand welcome in Jamshedpur

Seraikela, Oct 17: The eagerly awaited trophy for the forthcoming Jharkhand Asian Champions made its way to Seraikela on Tuesday.

Ranchi, Jharkhand  is the venue for the prestigious hockey event for women

During the ceremonial event organized in honor of the trophy’s arrival, Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla, while unveiling the troph,y emphasized the pivotal role of hockey in the country’s sporting legacy.

He noted the significance of hockey in the state of Jharkhand and expressed his belief that the championship would not only create a positive sports environment within the state but also serve as an inspiration for local hockey players.

The event is slated to be held in Ranchi from October 27th to November 5th. The event will feature teams from India, Japan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, and South Korea. As part of efforts to promote the event within Jharkhand, winner and runner-up trophies are being exhibited in 24 districts across the state.

The welcome program witnessed the active participation of not only the DC and Deputy Development Commissioner Pradip Kumar Gagrai , Sandeep Kumar Doraiburu (ITDA Director), Subodh Kumar (Additional Deputy Commissioner), Ram Krishna Kumar (Seraikela Sub-Divisional Officer), Kanu Ram Nag (District Deputy Election Officer) and others..
