Ranchi / Jamshedpur , April 17: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Friday announced the results for the Class IX board examinations, recording an impressive overall pass percentage of 99.17%.
The results were declared by JAC Chairman Dr. Natwa Hansda in the presence of Secretary Jayant Mishra and other officials.
The examination, conducted in the first week of March using OMR sheets, saw the participation of 4,10,258 students across the state. Of these, 4,06,883 candidates were declared successful, reflecting a notable improvement over last year’s performance.
Girls Continue to Excel
Continuing the trend of academic excellence, girls once again outperformed boys in the examination.
The pass percentage among girls stood at 99.22%, slightly higher than that of boys, which was recorded at 99.12%.
District Performance: Bokaro Tops the List
Among districts, Bokaro emerged as the top performer with an outstanding pass percentage of 99.63%.
Koderma and Hazaribagh followed closely behind. Simdega recorded the lowest pass percentage at 98.20%, though still maintaining a strong overall performance.
Division-wise Highlights
* North Chotanagpur Division led with 99.453%, the highest among all divisions
* Santhal Pargana Division recorded 99.427%
* Palamu Division achieved 99.118%
* Kolhan Division stood at 99.058%
South Chotanagpur Division registered 99.021%
The consistent high performance across districts and divisions reflects the strengthening academic standards in the state, with students demonstrating remarkable resilience and dedication.
