Ranchi, April 18: A jeweler was shot and injured by unidentified criminals in broad daylight on Friday afternoon in Chatakpur Market under the Ratu police station area.
According to eyewitnesses, two bike-borne assailants opened fire at the jeweler, hitting him in the left shoulder. After the attack, the accused fled the scene at high speed, evading capture despite being chased by local residents.
The injured jeweler, identified as Basant, was immediately rushed to a city hospital for treatment. Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and started an investigation into the incident.
