Janmashtami Mahotsava celebrated at Bramhalok Dham

Jamshedpur: Janmashtami Mahotsava was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Bramhalok Dham, Uliyan, Kadma, under the aegis of Bharatiya Yugvashishtha Bramhananda Sangh on Monday. A large number of people participated in the event.

The programme which was organized under the supervision of trustee Monu Bhattacharya, started early morning. Chhappan Bhog was offered to Lord Krishna at 10 am. Prasad was distributed among the devotees at 7.30 pm. The devotees also got to taste delicacies like Sewai, Kheer, puri and vegetables. More than 1500 people attended the mass lunch programme.

Bhattacharya said Lord Bramhanand was offered 56 types of traditional delicacies from different parts of India between Rakhi Purnima to Janmashtami. He said a special bamboo cutting ceremony for Durga Puja preparations will take place at Kalibari Ashram on Tuesday.

Among those present on the occasion included Srinivas Rao, Neetu Singh, Vijay Nath, Jhuma Dutta, Devendra Purohit, Ajeet Kumar, Pamella Paul, Ketu Chouhan, Kaveri Banerjee, Sarita Rao, Sony Rao, Babli Gorai and Supriya Dey.
