Jamshedpur, Oct 6: The Durga Puja pandal of Sri Sarvjanik Durga Puja Committee, Tuiladungri, has been decorated with typical kitchen utensils including steel and plastic mesh and storage containers. The pandal was inaugurated on Sunday. The total cost for constructing this unique pandal has been estimated to have cost ₹22 lakhs.
The Durga idol will shine with a silver hue adding to the attraction. As part of their tradition of doing something innovative each year the committee has designed this year’s pandal as an imaginary temple, with a height of 90 feet and a width of 110 feet.

A team of 40 skilled artisans from West Bengal has been working on the construction of the pandal, while the Durga idol, costing ₹1.75 lakh, has also been crafted by artisans from Contai, West Bengal.
The fair surrounding the pandal is expected to be a major attraction, featuring four large and four small rides, along with 35 stalls offering food, toys, balloons and other items.

The committee has also organized cultural programs including dance and song performances by children and women on Saptami, Ashtami and Navami. Devotees will be served bhog both as takeaways and while seated in the pandal.
Rajiv Giri, Vice Chairman of the Jharkhand State Gau Seva Commission, is the chief patron of the committee, with Mithilesh Singh Yadav as president and Dinesh Kumar as general secretary. Other key members include Raja Singh (licensee), Srinivas Rao (treasurer), and several other dedicated committee members.
