Jamshedpur’s Rakeshwar Pandey showcases labour achievements at INTUC’s 315th National Executive Meet

Jamshedpur, July 20: The 315th National Executive Meeting of the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) was held on Sunday at the NMDC Convention Centre in New Delhi. The meeting was presided over by INTUC National President Sanjiva Reddy and saw the participation of senior union leaders from across the country.

The meeting focused on key labour-related concerns, with in-depth discussions on what INTUC termed as the Central Government’s anti-labour policies. Topics included the old pension scheme, employment-linked incentive schemes, rights of permanent and temporary workers, privatisation, minimum wages, working hours, employee benefits, union formation, collective bargaining, and the right to strike.

A major point of discussion was the agenda for the upcoming INTUC Plenary Session. During the meeting, Rakeshwar Pandey, President of INTUC Jharkhand, highlighted the recent historic grade in Tata Power and Nuvoco Cement.

The meeting was attended by a large delegation from Jharkhand, including Tata Workers Union President Sanjeev Choudhary, General Secretary Satish Singh, Shailesh Singh, R Ravi Prasad, Shahnawaz Alam, Tata Motors Union President Brijbhushan Prasad, and General Secretary R.K. Singh. Other prominent attendees included Tata Steel UISL Workers Union  President Raghunath Pandey, Binod Rai, Sanjeev Srivastava, Tata Tinplate Workers Union General Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, ISWP Union General Secretary Pankaj Singh, and TRF Union representative Anjani Kumar.

From Mahila INTUC, National President Devika Singh and others participated, along with Youth INTUC members Nitesh Raj and Amit Doshaj. The session reflected unity and strong resolve among workers and leaders alike.
