40 Players Shortlisted for Jamshedpur Basketball Association Sub-Junior Camp

Jamshedpur, May 9: The selection process for the Sub-Junior Boys’ and Girls’ basketball teams of the Jamshedpur Basketball Association concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from young players across the city.

The trials were conducted under the guidance of Association President J.P. Singh and Vice President Mukhtar Alam Khan. Several promising basketball players took part in the selection process.

Following the trials, 20 boys and 20 girls were shortlisted for a special training camp. However, the final team selection will be made after the completion of the camp. The coaching camp for the selected players will be held at KPS Kadma from May 20 to June 2, 2026.

The camp is being organised in preparation for the 26th Sub-Junior Jharkhand State Basketball Championship 2026, which will take place in Pakur from June 4 to June 7.

Association Secretary Mohd. Arif Aftab, Treasurer Supriya Karan, Joint Secretaries Jalal Sheikh and Azhar Khan, along with members Shabanul, Amit, Vishal, Deepak, Sushant and Rahul, were present during the selection process. The organisers said all members played an important role in ensuring a fair and smooth selection procedure.

The Association extended its best wishes to all selected players for the upcoming championship and their future in basketball.
