Jamshedpur’s Rahul Sarkar to perform with Anup Jalota at Bharat Gaan Mahotsav 2025

Jamshedpur, July 20: The prestigious Bharat Gaan Mahotsav 2025 will be held in New Delhi from October 31 to November 2, organized by the Pandit Ravishankar Music Foundation with key support from Forbes World Record Certification Services, UK. The event will feature 9001 artists, aged between 14 to 80 years, performing live together on a single stage, setting the stage for a record-breaking feat.

Jamshedpur’s Rahul Sarkar, a talented young singer, has earned the honor of performing the title song alongside Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota. The title track was officially launched at Jalota’s residence in Mumbai. The project also includes musical legends such as Grammy Award winner Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, flute maestro Rakesh Chaurasia, and santoor virtuoso Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya.

This grand musical gathering, being hailed as India’s largest group singing event, will be broadcast from Delhi and is expected to enter the Guinness Book of World Records. The local community in Jamshedpur is celebrating this remarkable achievement of Rahul Sarkar.

Speaking about the event, Rahul stated that this project was a tribute to India’s rich musical heritage, aiming to showcase the nation’s cultural unity and diversity on the global stage. The title track was recorded at a premier studio in Mumbai. Sarkar described the forthcoming event as a historic celebration where sur (melody), taal (rhythm), and bhaav (expression) would unite in harmony.

Renowned Ghazal singer Kakuli Sarkar from Jharkhand has been appointed as the State Head for this world-class music competition and will represent artistes from the state.
