Jamshedpur, July 20: The Tagore Society hosted a musical evening dedicated to three legendary Bengali poets—Dwijendra Lal Roy, Atul Prasad Sen, and Rajanikanta Sen—at Rabindra Bhawan auditorium. The event showcased a rich collection of classical Bengali songs that deeply resonated with the audience.
Singers Madhuchhanda Bhattacharya and Samita Rakshit performed songs by Dwijendra Lal Roy, while Vidisha Nandi and Anindita Chakraborty presented renditions of Atul Prasad’s work. Bikash Banerjee and Aditi Sengupta brought alive Rajanikanta Sen’s compositions with their melodious renditions.
The finale featured Chandana Choudhury, Principal of Tagore School of Arts, who delivered a compilation of songs by all three poets, creating a captivating conclusion to the evening.
Ashis Choudhury, General Secretary of Tagore Society, emphasized the need to connect the younger generation with traditional arts, stating that true mental peace and personality development came from cultural enrichment alongside material progress.
