Jamshedpur’s Nasimuddin arrested on charges of being a Pakistani spy

Delhi police bust espionage network, Jamshedpur resident arrested for spying and forgery

Jamshedpur:
In a major breakthrough, the Special Cell of Delhi Police has busted a large espionage network operating in the national capital and arrested a 59-year-old man, identified as Mohammad Adil Hussaini alias Syed Adil Hussain alias Nasimuddin, on charges of spying and forging documents. The accused, a resident of Jamshedpur, is suspected of passing sensitive national information to foreign intelligence agencies.

According to police sources, Adil Hussaini had been under surveillance for several weeks following inputs from central agencies regarding his suspicious movements and frequent international travel. Investigations revealed that he had allegedly obtained multiple Indian passports using forged documents and had been traveling abroad under different identities for several years.

Police sources said that during a search operation, the Special Cell recovered one original Indian passport and two forged copies from his possession. The documents are now being examined by forensic experts to determine how they were procured and whether any officials were involved in facilitating their issuance.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Adil Hussaini was not working alone. He is believed to have been operating in close coordination with his brother, Akhtar Hussaini, who is currently under the police scanner. The duo allegedly gathered and shared classified or sensitive details with foreign contacts in exchange for money.

Officials added that Adil’s network might extend beyond India, as he is suspected to have maintained communication with several foreign nationals through encrypted channels. His frequent trips abroad are now being scrutinized to ascertain the purpose of his visits and the identities of the people he met.

“Adil Hussaini was arrested on October 26 and has been remanded to seven days of police custody,” a senior police officer confirmed. “We are interrogating him to uncover the extent of the espionage network and to identify the foreign agencies and domestic individuals who may have assisted him.”

The Special Cell, in collaboration with central intelligence units, is currently tracking money trails, phone records, and digital footprints connected to the case. The agencies are also investigating how Adil managed to obtain forged passports and whether a larger racket of document forgers is involved.

Police officials hinted that the case could have national security implications if the accused’s links with foreign operatives are established. “We are trying to verify the nature of the information he shared and assess any potential damage caused to the country’s interests,” said a senior investigator.
