Jamshedpur, June 1: Daljit Singh, a resident of Sitaramdera, and a young Sikh leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Jharkhand Women’s Football Federation (JWFF).
His nomination was confirmed by Sardar Avtar Singh Gandhi, Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Jharkhand Women’s Football Federation of India. Upon receiving his appointment letter, Daljit Singh expressed his commitment to promoting women’s football in Jharkhand and vowed to work with full dedication to elevate the state’s female players to the national level.
He emphasized that Jharkhand had immense potential in football, especially in rural areas, where both male and female talents awaited proper opportunities. Singh said he planned to appeal to the state government to provide football kits to every high school across the state and to appoint state and national-level football players as coaches or mentors in schools.
