Jamshedpur youth brutally murdered in Baridih

Jamshedpur: A 30-year-old youth, identified as Jagdeep Singh alias Golu, met a fatal end as he was brutally attacked by a group of three assailants wielding sticks in the New Baridih bustee under the Sidhgora Thana area on Thursday night. The assailants, also residents of the same locality, have since absconded, leaving the community in shock.

Golu, who was employed under a contract firm at Tata Steel, fell victim to the attack while returning home from his duty around 8:30 pm. The severity of his injuries prompted a swift transfer from MGM Medical College Hospital to Tinplate Hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his wounds on the way.

According to sources, the motive behind the murderous assault traces back to a morning dispute over a parking spot between Golu and one of the attackers. The assailants, allegedly consuming liquor while awaiting Golu’s return, intercepted him on his two-wheeler and launched a vicious attack with pre-prepared sticks.

Officer-in-Charge of Sidhgora Thana, Manoj Kumar Tiwari, revealed that the family members of the deceased promptly filed an FIR, identifying the three youths responsible for Golu’s murder. The police are swiftly moving to register a case of murder against the absconding assailants and assure the community that arrests will be made imminently.

“The bereaved family members have lodged an FIR in connection to the incident and given names of three youths responsible for the murder of Golu. We are registering a case of murder against the three and will arrest them all soon,” stated OC Tiwari.

The shocking incident has sent ripples of sensation throughout the locality, prompting the police to send the victim’s body to the medical college mortuary for postmortem. As the community grapples with the tragedy, authorities are determined to bring justice and apprehend the culprits behind this senseless act of violence.
