Jamshedpur women who stole Rs 1.28 cash arrested within 24 hrs

Jamshedpur, January 8. Within a day, the police caught a woman who stole a box full of money from a kitchenware shop located in Sakchi market. The police also recovered Rs 1.28 lakh in cash stolen from the shop along with jewelery and five mobile phones from the woman. The police is still questioning the woman.

Incidentally, on Saturday, a woman who reached Vijay Girdharlal’s utensil shop located on Sakchi Lohar Line on the pretext of buying a pan, stole a box full of money and ran away. All the actions of the woman were captured in the CCTV camera installed in the shop.

The shopkeeper had also handed over the video footage of the woman to the police while registering a complaint of theft against an unknown woman in Sakchi police station. Acting swiftly, the Sakchi police team with the help of other police stations arrested a 42-year-old woman named Rekha Kumari from her residence in Bhuiyandih Adarsh Nagar. The police also recovered three pairs of silver anklets, a silver coin, gold earring, locket, bracelet, ring, chain, and earring along with Rs 1 lakh 28 thousand stolen from the kitchenware shop from the woman.

 Apart from this, five mobile phones and bags were also recovered from the woman, including four Android sets and one keypad mobile.  

Jamshedpur city ASP Sudhanshu Jain while giving this information to the journalists said that the jewelry and mobile phones recovered from the said woman, a resident of New Ranikudar under Kadma police station, were stolen from other police station areas of the city.
