Jamshedpur: Vendors reap benefit of PM Svanidhi scheme

Jamshedpur, January 17: Street vendors Gaurishankar Sahu and Sushil Kumar Sharma got the third installment benefit of Rs 50,000 each from UCO Bank, Mango Branch today under the PM Svanidhi Fund Scheme.

With this scheme, street vendors are getting support in furthering their business.

Under the loan of the third of PM Swanidhi, an amount of Rs 50000 was made available to street vendors Gaurishankar Sahu and Sushil Kumar Sharma, who sell vegetables and fruits, by the UCO Bank Mango branch, giving them the benefits of the scheme today.

The executive officer of Mango municipal corporation told that under this scheme, more than 1500 street vendors have got the benefit of loan of Rs 10000 from various banks so far. More than 250 street vendors have got the benefit of Rs 20000 second trench and more than 10 street vendors have got the benefit of Rs 50000 trench.

Under the third tranche of this scheme, the street vendor benefited from Rs 50000 as a loan, deposited installments of 10000 and 20000 in UCO Bank as per the time, and also increased their business with the loan amount.

Repayment of the loan amount done correctly, he got a profit of ₹ 50000 in the third tranche of this scheme. Beneficiated by this scheme of the government, the beneficiary said that other street vendors should also take advantage of this scheme and move their business forward. The executive officer told that loan amount of Rs 10,000, 20,000 and 50,000 should be made available to the street vendors by giving the benefit of the scheme to the applications sent to the concerned banks under this scheme.

Prakash Kumar Sahu, branch manager of UCO Bank, told that eligible street vendors are being given the benefit of the scheme timely by their bank. After receiving the loan amount, both the street vendors expressed their gratitude to the government.
