Jamshedpur, Dec 3: Burmamines police arrested one Mandeep Singh, a truck owner, from Punjab for allegedly stealing pipes worth several lakh rupees from Tubes Division of Tata Steel. The accused is a resident of Barsawan. Cops are yet to recover the stolen goods. They forwarded the accused to judicial custody. An FIR was lodged at the Burmamines police station in connection with the theft of pipes by Rajesh Kumar Sonthalia of the company.
During investigation, police reportedly found out that the accused had sold the stolen pipes in New Delhi. The case was solved by the technical cell of police department, sources said.
