Jamshedpur, June 17: Tata Steel produced a dominant performance to defeat Dalma Tiger 7-0 in the second match of the JSA Premier Division League at the JRD Sports Complex on Wednesday.
Tata Steel took control of the game from the outset and opened the scoring in the ninth minute through Sunil Lohar. The early goal set the tone for a one-sided contest as Dalma Tiger struggled to cope with Tata Steel’s attacking play.
Birsa Tudu doubled the lead just before halftime and struck again soon after the break to complete his brace and put Tata Steel firmly in command. With momentum on their side, Tata Steel continued to press forward and create scoring opportunities.
The floodgates opened in the second half as Ajay Hansdak scored twice in the 64th and 75th minutes. Vikas Nayak and Aashaman Hembrom also found the net during a devastating spell that saw Tata Steel score four goals in quick succession and completely overwhelm their opponents.
The convincing victory follows Tata Motors’ 7-1 win over Classic 8 in the tournament opener, ensuring that the JSA Premier Division League has started with two high-scoring matches.
League action will continue on June 18 when Jamshedpur FC Reserves take on Adivasi Green Sporting Club in the Premier Division. In the inaugural Super Division match, Babulal Soren Football Academy will face Mohammaden Sporting Club.
