Ranchi, June 17: In a major administrative reshuffle, the Jharkhand government transferred and posted 88 officers of the Jharkhand Administrative Service (JAS) across various departments and district administrations.
Among the key appointments, Gyanendra Prasad, who was serving as Joint Secretary in the Health Department, has been posted as the Municipal Commissioner of the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC).
The Jharkhand government has appointed Amit Kumar as Additional Municipal Commissioner of Adityapur Municipal Corporation, Pankaj Kumar as Additional Municipal Commissioner of Hazaribagh Municipal Corporation, and Sanjay Kumar as Additional Municipal Commissioner of Medininagar Municipal Corporation.
According to the notification, officers posted as Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) and Executive Magistrates will exercise powers under the provisions of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023.
The transfer was notified by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha as part of a statewide reshuffle affecting urban development, revenue, rural development, health and district administration departments.
The reshuffle also included postings to municipal corporations, district administrations and the State Election Department.
