Four arrested in Jamshedpur firing case

Jamshedpur, Dec 3: Police arrested four persons in connection with the incident of firing in Baliguma under MGM police station area here on Saturday.

Two of those arrested were identified as Kishore and Amarnath Singh.

Police said the accused persons had opened fire on Surendra Prasad of Chatai Colony, Mango, yesterday night. Surendra was standing outside his house when Kishore and his younger brother Chhotu happened to pass by and abuse him. On protesting, the two assaulted Surendra and after some time brought 10 to 15 more persons along with them. The accused persons opened fire in the air, sources said.

Sources said the accused persons had earlier opened fire on one Arun in Baliguma. They had gone there with the intention of killing one Rajesh Singh. When intercepted by Arun, they opened fire. The bullet hit Sundernagar’s Vidhata Tantubai, also a criminal, police said.
