Jamshedpur, August 1: In a rigorous campaign against overspeeding conducted throughout June, the Jamshedpur Traffic Police and Road Safety Team issued notices to 18 vehicle owners. Following instructions from District Transport Officer Dhananjay, Traffic DSP Sanjay Kumar Singh, and the Road Safety Team spearheaded this initiative to curb overspeeding.
Notices have been sent to all identified vehicle owners, who must pay fines at the District Transport Office within a week. Additionally, these vehicle owners are required to present their vehicle documents for verification. The campaign involved deploying interceptor vehicles at strategic points across the city, NH-33, and State Highways to capture images of speeding vehicles.
District Transport Officer Dhananjay emphasized that the campaign will persist, with ongoing efforts to educate the public about traffic rules. Continuous awareness campaigns will be organized to disseminate information on road safety. Throughout the operation, Traffic Police officers, personnel, and Road Safety Team Manager Prakash Kumar, along with team members, were actively involved.
