Jamshedpur, May 24: Tata Steel is all set to organize Greenathon � A Run for Environment, for the citizens of Jamshedpur. The 2.4 km run will start from JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 6:00 am onwards.
Subodh Kumar, ADM (Law & Order), East Singhbhum has consented to be the Chief Guest for the function. Saba Alam Ansari, DFO, Jamshedpur and Suresh Paswan, Regional Officer, JSPCB will also grace the occasion.
The Run will be followed by a signature campaign and tree plantation ceremony. Greenathon 2017 saw nearly 1000 citizens, including children and women, participate in the event.
Akin to past years, Tata Steel is celebrating World Environment Day 2018 with a plethora of events and initiatives under the �Greenfection� campaign umbrella. This year, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) theme for World Environment Day is #BeatPlasticPollution.
