Jamshedpur: Tangerine School holds special meeting to ensure 100% voting

 

Jamshedpur, April 25: Upgraded Middle School, Tangerine, convened a special meeting of parents today, wherein individuals above 18 years pledged to achieve 100% voter turnout in the upcoming general elections on Saturday, May 25. In an effort to promote civic engagement, students also established a democracy room and educated villagers on the voting process.

Concurrently, a School Management Committee meeting was conducted, during which Principal Arvind Tiwari highlighted various initiatives including Project Impact, Rail Project, Prayas, and Bal Sansad, aimed at enhancing the quality of education. The meeting featured addresses by School Management Committee Chairman Mangala Majhi, social worker Ujjwal Mandal, Vice President Lakshmi Patro, among others.

The occasion also included a farewell ceremony for class eight students, accompanied by lively dance performances and arrangements for refreshments. The event was organized under the supervision of Sanjana Patro, a seventh-grade student, with active participation from teachers including Bholanath Sardar, Rajeev Singh, Amal Dixit, Rajendra Munda, and Dashmat Majhi.

To promote English literacy, the school initiated a Reading Challenge program in collaboration with Asha Infinity, Bengaluru, wherein daily educational videos are shared with participating children via WhatsApp. Currently, 40 children are enrolled in the program, aiming to enhance their English proficiency through interactive learning.
