Jamshedpur, April 25: Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi inaugurated the 70th Shri-Shri Pahadi Puja Mahotsav organized under the auspices of Loco Recreation Club on Thursday, April 25. Offering prayers to Pahadi Ma for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the area’s residents, the festivities will span seven days.
The Pahadi Puja has been a cherished tradition in the Railway Loco Colony since 1954. Over the course of seven days, Devi Ma will be revered and taken on a city tour, with the Puja culminating on April 30 with a grand farewell featuring fireworks and a tableau.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Mangal Kalindi commended the local community’s fervent celebration of Ma Pahadi Puja Mahotsav, emphasizing the importance of active participation in religious and social events. Such gatherings, he noted, foster a sense of unity and harmony within society.
Zila Parishad President Bari Murmu, Vice President Pankaj Sinha, along with several other guests, graced the event with their presence, extending their support and appreciation for the auspicious occasion.
