Jamshedpur students showcase scientific prowess at Quantum 2023

Loyola School crowned overall champion, Carmel  runner-up

Jamshedpur, May 5: The Science Council of Little Flower School (LFS) hosted Quantum 2023 on 28th and 29th April in the school auditorium.

This year was the auspicious Crystal Jubilee of Quantum. 

Quantum 2023 saw an overwhelming participation of 450 students from 15 schools of Jamshedpur. They showed their prowess and aptitude in science while competing in 19 events this year.

Guest of honour for the occasion was Achintya Singh, DGM CSR at Tata Motors, Jamshedpur.

The Chief Guest was Brigadier Rannvijay Singh, alumnus of Little Flower School.

Being stellar in academics from day one to being the commander of infantry brigade in Punjab and NCC Patna, he’s a pillar of versatility.

Khemani, also a alumnus of Little Flower School is currently the director of seven companies in sectors of management and service. He has been an invisible force of strength and support.

This annual mega interschool fest was organised by students of both 12 Science and Commerce. It was not only an amalgamation of events related to science but explored beyond it’s realm. A plethora of new events were introduced to hone creativity skills. Darwin’s Gladiator was one such event in which the students showcased their life skills to survive amongst all odds in a world full of stress.

Dirt rally was another event wherein the participants had tough competition manoeuvring their bots through rough terrain with obstacles.

As the events concluded Loyola School was declared the winner.

1st runners up trophy was bagged by Carmel Junior College followed by DBMS.  

The organizers worked relentlessly day and night for more than a month to provide a platform so that students can portray their talents and unleash the ingenuity and vision. The principal of Little Flower School, Sister Hilda D’Souza supported the event.

The coordinators of Quantum, Ashish Kapoor and Ranita Karmakar plan to take this fest to reach new heights of success at state level in the coming years.
