Jamshedpur, July 10: A drawing and painting competition for students of various rural schools was organized at Bharat Petroleum Dealer Rajendra and Sons at Parsudih. The 70 participating students, divided in Groups A and B expressed their concepts on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for Swachh Bharat. The young artists conveyed their ideas on cleanliness at home, locality, city and country through impressive paintings.
Regional Coordinating Officer of Bharat Petroleum, Anoop Kumar Sharma and Senior Fleet Officer Biswajit Pal were the chief guests on the occasion while Zila Parshad Vice President Pankaj Sinha was the special guest. Pankaj Sinha, while giving tips on cleanliness to the children said that like charity, cleanliness too began at home. Social worker and Secretary of Rajendra Balika Middle School Mangal Patro was also present on the occasion.
The guests were welcomed with bouquets presented by the owner of Rajendra and Sons, Rajendra Sah Raj. Anoop Kumar Sharma and Vishwajit Pal, the Bharat Petroleum senior officials judged the paintings. The winners in Group A were Anjali Kumari (first), Suresh Hansda (second) and Sarita Soy (third) while the Group B top three were Pritha Das (first), Muni Ram Hembram (second) and C Gagrai (third). Consolation prizes were given to Reena Charitra, Saraswati Sardar, Kunti Hembram, Sukmati Soren and Sumita Soy. The vote of thanks was proposed by Rajendra Sah Raj.
