Jamshedpur, July 10: District police beefed up security across the city in view of Bakrid on Sunday. Armed police personnel and paramilitary forces were deployed at various sensitive places from morning till late evening. Police patrol teams made several rounds of the city in view of the festival. Traffic police too, tightened noose around rash drivers. DSP in-charge (Traffic) Kamal Kishore said the campaign was launched to ensure road safety. He said youths disregarding road safety rules would be caught and fined to improve the traffic scenario. He said rash driving put the lives of youngsters and others in jeopardy and hence it needed to be stopped at once.
