Jamshedpur: Srinath University hosts talk show on ‘Paradigm change in Indian cinema’

Jamshedpur, Oct 15: School of Mass Communication and Journalism of Srinath University, Adityapur organised a talk show on Paradigm change in Indian Cinema.

The Special guest for the programme was Bad Man of Hindi cinema Ranjeet (Bedi).

Eminent actors Pankaj Jha, Sanjeev Jaiswal, along with Cinematographer Premendu Bikash Chaki, and Directors Anil Ramchandra Sharma and Ashoke Vishwanathan, SRFTI, Dean (Film Wing), Riya Tirkey, Finalist, Femina Miss India 2022 and Dhananjay Mandal, Jury Member of JNFF were present.

Students staged tribal dance to welcome the guests. Sukdeo Mahato, Chancellor of Srinath University and faculties accorded warm welcome to guests.

The host for the programme was Vivek Kapoor from the Department of Commerce and Management.

Interacting with the Media, Sukhdeo Mahato said,”Indian Cinema gives  young talent the opportunity to execute their artistic skills. Now, there are widespread opportunities for people all over the globe. People today are not just confined to employment opportunities in the corporate sector, but have vast opportunities in the film industry as well. The Film industry gives immense opportunities to influential youth to explore and execute their talent. We at Srinath University are blessed to have such influential Bollywood personalities with us.”

The Students also performed a mesmerizing contemporary and Retro Dance Performance which was immensely loved by the guests and audience. 

Ranjeet Bedi’s presence created a joyous moment among the audience. Audience was mesmerized when he delivered his iconic dialogues.

Dr Bhavya Bhushan of Srinath University conducted the Talk show where the eminent personalities of the film industry gave their views in the Paradigm Change in Indian Cinema.

The Character Vidhayak ji from Panchayat Series played by Pankaj Jha said “Respect yourself and never let others put you down. The characters played in movies are fictional. One must not lose their original identify while portraying any character”.

Ashoke Vishwanathan, Dean of SRFTI said that actors today are very hardworking and dedicated. Indian Cinema has changed for the better.

Permendu Bikash Chaki, Prominent Cinematographer and Director observed that today Indian Cinema has changed .The way actors switch their characters between shots is worth praising.

Anil Ramchandra Sharma said that actors today are dedicated because there is cut throat competition. 

The Character of Ajmal Kasab in 26/11 played by Sanjeev Jaiswal said that OTT has given a lot of talented actors to establish themselves.
