Jamshedpur: Six arrested with arms in Pradip Singh murder case

Jamshedpur, Feb 28: Police arrested six persons in connection with Pradip Singh murder case of Sitaramdera here on Tuesday.

Those arrested were identified as Babita Singh, Rahul Kumar Singh alias Munna Singh, William Kumar Kar, Ravi Yadav alias Ladla, Rahul Kumar Sharma and Abhishek Kumar.

Cops seized four guns including three country-made pistols, 12 bullets, three mobile phones, three bikes and one scooty on the information of the accused persons. All six were forwarded to judicial custody after interrogation, said Prabhat Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), East Singhbhum.

According to the SP, Pradip, accused in Arms Act cases, had posted some objectionable message on social media that led to an altercation with the accused persons. Rahul planned Pradip’s murder with other accused persons. Pradip was called to a hotel in Sitaramdera with the help of Babita. The accused persons opened indiscriminate firing on Pradip when he turned up. Babita was to be paid Rs 1.5 lakh for calling Pradip to the hotel, said the SSP.
