Jamshedpur: Shivangi Chaudhary tops DAV NIT in CBSE Class 12, scores 96%

Jamshedpur, July 30: DAV NIT students proved their merit once again by registering overwhelming performance in the CBSE Class 12 exam. The Central Board of Secondary Education announced the Class 12 Board Exam 2021 results on Friday (July 30) at 2 PM.

The Central government had cancelled the CBSE Class 12 board exams in view of the COVID-19 situation in the country. CBSE has adopted an alternative assessment scheme to finalise the results. For CBSE Class 12 results, the board adopted 30:30:40 formula based on the marks students earned in their Class 10, 11 and 12 examinations respectively.

Shivangi Chaudhary of Class 12 Science stream topped DAV NIT Adityapur scoring 96% marks. She scored 480 out of 500 including 99 in English, 96 each in Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science and 96 in Mathematics. The second position was bagged by Shubham Mishra scoring 95.8% marks. Ashish Kumar CHO and Snehal Saurabh were joint third in School as they scored 95.6 % marks.

Total of 163 students from science stream appeared for the exam and cleared it with flying colours. 33 students of the batch scored 90 % and above marks while 124 students secured 75 % and above.

DAV NIT Commerce batch students also performed well. 74 students of commerce stream appeared for the exam of which 8 students scored 90 % and above marks while 23 students secured 75 % and above marks.  

Sharada Nandan Kumar was school commerce topper with 94.4 % marks. Pranay Das, Shrish Kumar Khirwal and Chittaranjan Gorai were joint second toppers scoring 92.2 % marks. Aniket Anand bagged the third spot in school with 91 % marks.
