Jamshedpur girl Nivedita tops Jharkhand in CBSE Class 12, scores 99 %


Jamshedpur, July 30: The long wait of the CBSE Class 12 students was finally over as The Central Board of Secondary Education announced the Class 12 Board Exam 2021 results on Friday (July 30) at 2 PM.

Continuing the tradition, students of DAV Public School, Bistupur again hogged the limelight with several students of the school scoring 90 % and above marks.

Nivedita Mahapatra came out with flying colours scoring 99% marks in the Humanities stream to bag the first position in Jharkhand.

P Harshvardhan was the second topper with 98.2 % while Mayuri Sen bagged the third spot as she secured 97.4 % marks in humanities stream.

In Science stream Ayushi was declared the topper scoring 98.8 % marks. Anurag Anand was the second topper with 98.2 % while the third spot was jointly bagged by Shrey Kashyap, Sujata Khan Bhaduri and Mansi Ranjan. They all scored 488 out of 500 and secured third place with 97.6 % marks.

Ayendrila Mitra and Moloy Chandra Kundu were declared the joint toppers in Commerce stream scoring 97.8 % marks. Ansula was second scoring 97.4 % marks while Sneha Mitra scored 94.8 % marks to bag the third position in commerce.

Pragya Singh, Principal, DAV Public School, Bistupur congratulated the students and wished them luck for the future. 

The Central government had cancelled the CBSE Class 12 board exams in view of the COVID-19 situation in the country.

CBSE has adopted an alternative assessment scheme to finalise the results. For CBSE Class 12 results, the board adopted 30:30:40 formula based on the marks students earned in their Class 10, 11 and 12 examinations respectively.
