Jamshedpur: RYLA program inspires youth on leadership, compassion and service

Jamshedpur: The second day of the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) Pankh program, organized by Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West, concluded successfully, leaving a lasting impact on participants through its inspiring theme of leadership, compassion and community service.

The day began at 7:00 AM with a Soul Nature Walk led by Pratibha Tudu. The session emphasized the benefits of a mindful morning walk, setting a calm and reflective tone for the day. Participants were encouraged to embrace nature as a source of inner peace and rejuvenation.

This was followed by an insightful session titled Life Balance Sheet conducted by Rtn President Dr. Amit Mukherjee. The session focused on self-introspection and personal development, prompting participants to examine their goals and aspirations through a dynamic question-and-answer interaction.

In a powerful session on Leadership and Compassion, Rtn Jagjit Singh, Chief Logistics Tata Steel, highlighted the importance of empathy in leadership. “True leaders not only guide but also connect with others through compassion, fostering humanity in all endeavors,” he remarked.

PDG Rtn Sandeep Narang delivered an inspirational talk titled Goals – When Are You Gonna Start? motivating the youth to persistently chase their dreams. He emphasized, “Success comes to those who never stop trying. The journey may be tough, but dedication ensures achievement.”

The program also included a visit to the village of Murga Gutu in Akela Kharsawan, where participants engaged in Shramdaan (voluntary labor) by constructing a road for a local school. They interacted with villagers, learning about their challenges and community spirit. The village’s traditional dance showcased Jharkhand’s rich cultural heritage and participants experienced the harmony and unity upheld by the villagers.

Later, a group competition, led by Suchanda Banerjee, Abhijit Mukherjee, Veena Mundra and Sunit Kumar, encouraged teamwork and creativity among the participants.

The entire session witnessed active participation from several distinguished Rotarians, including President Rtn Amit Mukherjee, Secretary Rtn Deepti Singh, Rtn Amitabh Bakshi, Rtn Achinto Banerjee, Rtn Nand Kishore Agarwal, Rtn J.B. Singh, Rtn Dr. Ravindra Kumar, Rtn Amit Dey, Rtn Shampa Dey, Rtn Sanjeev Segal, Rtn Anupam Sehgal, Rtn Payal Ranjan, Rtn PDG Pratim Banerjee, Rtn Amresh Sinha, Rtn Preeti Sehgal, Rtn Vandana, Rtn Rita Jha, Rtn Anjani Sahay, Rtn Ashok Jha, Rtn Dhruv Agrawal, Rtn Animesh Chapolia, Rtn Babita Kedia, Rtn Shweta Chand, Rtn Preeti Saini, Rtn Vidya Tiwari, Rtn Tiwari, Rtn Anil Dhandhania, Rtn Radhika Dhandhania, Rtn Rishi Chandrani and Rtn Shraddha Chandrani. Their enthusiastic involvement and guidance added to the success of the event.
