Jamshedpur: The District Administration has tightened security to ensure a peaceful Ram Navami celebration. On Wednesday afternoon, City SP Kumar Shivashish led a high-stakes briefing at the Sakchi Police Station (DSP CCR Office), tasking the force with maintaining an “impenetrable fortress” across the city.

Boosting the Frontline

To fortify the existing security grid, the Police Headquarters has deployed 261 additional personnel to Jamshedpur. During the briefing, the City SP issued clear directives:

• Constant Escort: Personnel must accompany every Akhara procession from its starting point to the immersion site and back.

• Border Security: Teams have increased snap-checks at all city entry and exit points to prevent outsiders from disrupting the peace.

• Sensitive Zones: The SP ordered special focus on high-alert areas to preempt any untoward incidents.

High-Tech Surveillance and Discipline

The administration is combining traditional policing with modern technology to manage the massive crowds:

• Aerial Monitoring: The Central Control Room will use drone cameras and CCTV networks for real-time surveillance.
