MTMC Hosts National Conference on Cardiovascular Diagnostics

Jamshedpur: Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC) hosted a national conference titled “Diagnostic Approaches in Cardiovascular Diseases.” The event united a diverse group of experts, researchers, and students from across India and international hubs to discuss the future of heart health.

A Hybrid Global Gathering

The Cardiovascular Technology division and the Department of Cardiac Sciences at Manipal Hospital collaborated to design this comprehensive program. Utilizing a hybrid format, the conference drew 247 delegates, including 105 attendees at the Jamshedpur campus and 142 virtual participants joining from the UK, USA, Germany, and several Indian states.

Leadership and Expert Insights

Chief Guest Dr. G. Arun Maiya opened the ceremony virtually with the traditional lighting of the lamp. Joining him were MTMC’s institutional leaders, including the Dean In-charge, the Director of Academic Administration and Quality, and distinguished guest Dr. Rabindra Nath Chakraborty.

The technical sessions featured cutting-edge insights from eminent medical professionals, including:

  • Dr. Ajay Agarwal and Dr. N. V. K. Sundeep

  • Dr. Ashesh Halder and Dr. Krishnananda Nayak

  • Dr. Dilip Kumar

Fostering Research and Innovation

Beyond expert lectures, the conference empowered emerging researchers to showcase their work through oral and poster presentations. These sessions sparked interdisciplinary learning and new collaborations between academia and clinical practice. The program concluded with a spirited digital quiz and a valedictory session to honor outstanding contributions.

Conference Convener Ms. Tina Ralhan delivered the vote of thanks, marking the event as a vital bridge between academic theory and global clinical expertise. As a joint initiative between MAHE and Tata Steel, MTMC continues to leverage its partnership with Tata Main Hospital to deliver world-class medical education and healthcare services to the region.
