Jamshedpur Police on High Alert for Durga Puja, Drone Surveillance to Monitor Crowds

Jamshedpur, Sept 24: The district police and administration in Jamshedpur are on full alert to ensure a peaceful and safe Durga Puja celebration.

On Wednesday, City SP Kumar Shivashish inspected various Puja pandals in the city and surrounding areas, reviewing the security arrangements.

He emphasized that the police are prepared to handle any situation and that security measures have been strengthened.

Three teams have been formed for bike patrolling. All police stations have been instructed to keep additional bikes ready to respond swiftly even in crowded areas.

Flag marches will also be conducted to create a deterrent effect against antisocial elements.

Authorized ID cards will be issued to volunteers working at the pandals, and police stations have been directed to meet with them to clarify roles and responsibilities.

For women’s safety, Shakti Commando squads will be deployed, particularly in high-traffic areas.

Drone surveillance will monitor key routes and locations throughout the festival.

DSPs and station heads will personally inspect important routes, while strict action will be taken against rash driving, stunts, and any unruly behavior.
